A program is built around what the organization is already trying to do. Teams learn what systemic and integrated sustainability means in their own context, and how to improve the strategic position of a project while working toward a sustainable society.
Programs run from a single session to a trajectory of two years, and the longer ones leave the organization able to run this work without us.
A roadmap, and the people around it
The core of a program is a roadmap the team builds itself. You set a goal at the level of the system, work back to the milestones that would have to be true on the way, and put targets and indicators on each one.
The other half of a program is about the people involved, since most of what an organization wants to change reaches beyond its own walls: the sessions cover who holds a stake in it, how to bring them in early enough for it to matter, and how to run a process across departments that do not report to one another.
